Shadonna Banks is a dedicated wife, mother of three, and grandmother of three, and is married to Attorney Elvis C. Banks. Residing in Mississippi, Shadonna is a passionate advocate for community empowerment and personal development. She is the founder and President of For the People, a nonprofit organization focused on helping individuals succeed in critical areas such as health, education, sports, music, and personal development.
In addition to her role at For the People, Shadonna is a Counselor in Training (CIT) at For the People Counseling, where she provides support and guidance to those in need. Her career in counseling and community service spans over a decade, during which she has held the position of CFO and Office Administrator at For the People Counseling Service.
As an entrepreneur and community leader, Shadonna is also the founder and Director of the Mid-South Cosmetology & Barber Association (also known as Beauty Barber School), where she is committed to providing high-quality education and training to students pursuing careers in the beauty and barber industry. She has extensive experience in the cosmetology field, having served as a director at the Tennessee Academy of Cosmetology for six years, and as a licensed instructor for over 23 years.
Mrs. Banks’ leadership experience extends beyond the cosmetology industry. From 2005 to 2009, she served as the Chairman of the Shelby County Head Start Program, where she played a pivotal role in ensuring early childhood education opportunities for underserved children.
Shadonna holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Management from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mental Health from the same institution. She is also a Certified Immigration Specialist, further broadening her expertise in providing valuable support to diverse communities.
In 2019, driven by her passion for the beauty and barbering industry, Shadonna opened her own Beauty and Barber School. Her vision is to create one of the best online and in-person schools in the United States, offering top-tier education to students seeking to advance their careers in the beauty and barbering profession.
Shadonna’s ultimate goal is to continue making a meaningful impact on her community, empowering individuals to achieve success in their personal and professional lives. Shadonna is passionate about student success. As Mid- South Cosmetology and Barber School grows she will be employing all of her diverse leadership skillset for the optimum student experience.

Mr Javi Williams relocated to Memphis TN from San Diego CA in June 2024 to be closer to family and explore all the amazing opportunities Memphis has to offer. With a rich background spanning 20 years in education, entrepreneurship and coaching, Mr. Javi Williams brings a wealth of experience and a passion for empowering others to succeed. As the new School Manager at Mid-South Beauty and Barbering Academy, Mr Williams is dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence, helping students grow in their profession and craft, and positioning the academy as a leading institution recognized throughout the tristate area. His commitment to student success and industry innovation makes him a driving force in shaping the next generation of beauty and barbering professionals!
Mr. William. “ CC” Campbell

Mr. William Campbell is both an Arkansas and Tennessee Master Barber Instructor. He adds a conglomerate of practical experience in hair restoration, design and artistry to our barber students. We refer to William as “CC” amongst the team here at Mid-South. Mr. Campbell has experience as a global platform artist showing off his barber education techniques to barbering students and the public across the world. “CC” has had the previous experience of holding a position as chairman of the Arkansas Artistry Association as well as being an ambassador for numerous global brands. When he is not in the classroom, you can find him behind the chair at CC Barbershop in the Little Rock area providing awesome men’s grooming services.

Ms. Courtney Jones joined our team as a graduate of our Esthetician program who possess a passion to instruct in our growing esthetician program. She hopes to provide our students with structure and state of the art practices in the field of skin care services. She is excited to learn more about teaching.

India joins our team as a Tennessee licensed cosmetologist and makeup aficionado with a contagious passion for beauty. She assist instructional team in the classroom and with other duties to support the students and staff. India has certifications in makeup application and lash extensions. India aspires to be a cosmetology instructor and will be on track to officially begin as junior instructor program in late summer 2025 with a track to be completed by Fall 2025 here at Mid-South Cosmetology and Barber Academy. When she's not making people look and feel their best, India is spreading positivity and good vibes wherever she goes. She is soaking up the wealth of knowledge from our dynamic instructional team so that she can be an asset in proprietary beauty education, and help our students to grow professionally.

Mr. Shaw grew up in the Memphis community where he began cutting hair even as early as childhood. In his neighborhood where he first learned to cut hair and, in this community, they started calling him the nickname of “Nod”. He developed a real love and passion for cutting hair. Mr. Shaw owns a barber suite in the Greater Memphis community of Raleigh. He specializes in high quality barber services. Mr. Shaw is grasping experience at Mid-South Beauty and Barber Academy instructors to learn how to teach and to impart great knowledge to the barbering students about advancing in the barbering profession.
